Obituary

Johnnie Johnson (ne Rhoe) was born on October 1st 1940 to John Rhoe and Maude Rhoe (ne Hughes) She was their only child. When her mother remarried, Johnnie along with her new family relocated to Bakersfield, California. Johnnie did many things during her lifetime, from Modeling in her early years, owning a Restaurant, to apartment management. However, what she was most proud of was being a nurse and a Mentor. As a nurse she helped many terminal patients transition to heaven with a grace that gave them peace during a terrible storm. As a mentor, she took in many children, teens and adults. With the kind of wisdom and discernment that could only come from God himself, she taught many how to live, how to be strong, how escape domestic violence, how to navigate adulthood, and Most of all she taught them how to love themselves. Even Though Johnnie Johnson has left our physical presence; her legacy still lives on in the countless lives she touched. With a love, a kindness, wisdom and strength like no other, she is a saint that will truly be missed. She is survived by her children Brenda Jackson, Donald White, Dondra Johnson, along with many siblings, nieces and nephews. She will now be spending time with her father, John Rhoe, her mother, Maude Young, Her Daughter, Charlene White, Her step daughter, Tabasha Paige, and the many others she loved who have already passed from here to glory. Most of all she will be spending time with our Heavenly Father and basking in his glory. Mom you were an inspiration to all who met you. Your kindness touched us all. Never forget that you were loved beyond measure. You fought a good fight, take your rest, you earned it. Never good bye, just see you later. Rest in heaven.
