John Slade, 84 of Irving, Texas died Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Baylor, Scott & White Medical Center of Grapevine. John was born September 15, 1936 in Stafford, Kansas to Fenton and Madge McCandless Slade. He received a Double E degree from Kansas State University and was an Electrical Engineer. He married Irma Stehle in Denver, Colorado on November 5, 1960. John served at President of Technology Development of California before owning and operating ISO America for thirty years and insight I with ISO Certification. He is preceded in death by his daughter Melinda Lee Slade, June 16, 2004. Survived by his wife Irma Slade; daughters, Brenda Allen and husband David of Irving, and Laura Lynn Whitlock of Alpharetta, GA; four grandchildren, Michaela Hahn, Christin Whitlock, Tiffany Miller, Jonathan Whitlock; four great-grandchildren, James Miller, Joseph Miller, Colton Hahn, Calia Hahn; sister, Lita Mae Christie of Kansas and a brother, Robert Slade of Texas. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, TX 75062. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas 75060. Doug Fox will officiate. The service will be available to view by live stream.
