John Hicklin Paslay, 75, of Dallas, formerly of DeSoto, died Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Dallas. Born July 7, 1946 in Oxford, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Warren K. Paslay and Genevieve Hattox Paslay. He was a graduate of the University of Mississippi "Ole Miss". He married JoAnne Scott Morgan March 10, 2018 in Dallas. A long-time pharmacist with the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dallas, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife JoAnne of Dallas; a son John G. Paslay "Greg" and his wife Angie of the Woodlands; a daughter Gena K. Theede and husband Nick of Houston; Three grandchildren, Madeline Paslay, Mason Paslay, and Austin Fendley; and two step-sons Gilbert Scott Mobley and wife Heidi of Krum and Michael Christopher Mobley and wife Khadija of Fort Worth. Graveside services will be at noon on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving. SERVICES Graveside Service
