JOHN MELVIN HARPOLE, age 81, of Irving, died Friday, July 29, 2011 in Irving. Born February 9, 1930 in Denton, Texas, he was the son of John and Lorene Warren Harpole. He grew up in Argyle, Texas. He retired after 53 years with Lockheed Martin. He was Baptist. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother Stewart Jackson, survivors include his wife of 18 years, Margo of Irving; his children, Lorene Ray of Missouri, LaJuan Gann of Hurst, John Harpole, Jr. of Coppell, Timothy Smith of San Angelo, and Stacy Hightower of Aubrey. A Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving.
