JOE TOLER, age 86, a lifelong resident of Irving, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at an Irving care center. Born May 16, 1927 in Irving to Emanuel Monroe Toler and Mary Alma Lindenblatt Toler, he married Ticia L. Womack on July 19, 1947 in Dallas. She preceded him in death on May 15, 2007. Joe was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 5th Field Artillery. Survivors include his son, Joe Wallace J. W. Toler and wife Carolyn; grandchildren, Joe Floyd Toler and wife Patricia, Wade Lee Toler, and Sara Suzanne Martinez and husband Pete; great grandchildren, Jake, Jodi, Bryce and Maryssa; brother, LeRoy Toler and wife Clereta; nephew, Robert Toler; and niece, Sharon Hixs. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Graveside service is 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 31 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd in Irving with Pastor Darrin Mechling officiating.
