JOANN MAXWELL DRAGOO, age 69, of Grand Prairie, Texas, formerly a resident of Irving for 37 years, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Medical Center of Arlington. Born February 28, 1941 in Llano, Texas, she was the daughter of Chester Clyde Maxwell and Mary Orlena McMurray Maxwell. She graduated from Rankin High School in Rankin, Texas and from the Shannon School of Nursing in San Angelo, Texas. She married Thomas R. Dragoo July 11, 1963 at Midkiff, Texas. A registered nurse, she was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Irving. Survivors include her husband, Tom of Grand Prairie; son, Robert Michael Dragoo of Irving; daughter, Danielle Denise Roberts of Grand Prairie; sister, Sandra Powe of Grand Prairie; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Robert Dragoo and Kristina Marie Dragoo. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, 4034 West Pioneer Drive in Irving.
