Billie Jo Owens, 92, of Irving, Texas, died Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Christian Care Hospice in Mesquite. Born October 2, 1926 in Hopkins County, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Hampton Burl Burchett and Ora Mae Foust Burchett. She married Hubert Lorenzo Owens July 3, 1946 in Dallas. She was a homemaker and long-time member of First Baptist Church in Irving. Preceded in death by her parents, a son Rodney Joe Owens in 2003 and by her husband Hubert L. Owens in 2013, she is survived by her children, Gary Don Owens and wife Christine of Cypress, Texas, Teresa Pippin and husband Kent of Sunnyvale, Texas, and Philip Owens and wife Elaine of Texarkana, TX; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Lyn Owens of Dallas; six grandchildren, Christopher Travis Owens and wife Kelly Jean of Conroe, TX, Aaron Don Owens and wife Courtney of San Antonio, Ryan Bruce Owens and wife Leslie of Cypress, Jonathan "Rocky" Owens and wife Joanna of Dallas, Justin Michael Leatherwood of Allen, and Desiree Nicole Owens of Texarkana; and eighteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 403 South Main Street in Irving. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. in the worship center there. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at Restland Memorial Park, 13500 Greenville Ave. in Dallas. SERVICES
