age 87, a resident of Irving, Texas since 1957, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 in Irving. She was born August 16, 1922 in Forkville, Mississippi to John H. and Emma Jane Thweatt Harvey. Jo was a member of The Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Howard R. Fortenberry, son, Paul Fortenberry and son-in-law, Bobby J. Grabeel, she is survived by her daughter, Jean Grabeel; grandchildren, Gina Bates and husband Terry Bates, Sr. and Bobby W. Grabeel and wife Melody; great grandchildren, Terry Bates, Jr., Megan Bates, Jared Bates, Haley Bates, Alexis Bates, Courtney Grabeel, Nicholas Grabeel and Ashton Grabeel, all of Irving. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steven Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
