Jo Armstrong, age 82, a resident of Irving for 56 years, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at a Dallas hospital. Born August 25, 1931 in Brownwood, Texas, she was the daughter of Emory Paul Murray, Sr. and Marguerite Jones Murray. She married Charles Aaron Armstrong August 17, 1956 in Dallas. A homemaker, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Euless. Preceded in death by her husband in 1990, a son, David Wayne Armstrong in 1992, and daughter Carolyn Lott, in 1999, she is survived by a son Charles Aaron Armstrong of Irving; a brother, Emory Paul Murray, Jr. and wife JoAnn of Dallas; a son-in-law, Alan Lott; and a grandson, Andrew Emory Lott. The family will receive friends at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving 10:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013. The funeral will be in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Thursday. Dr. Jack D. Terry will officiate. Burial will be at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas at 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
