Jimmie Dean (Aaron) Minks, a lifetime resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died Thursday June 29, 2017 at The Remington At Valley Ranch in Irving, Texas. Born in El Dorado, Arkansas on July 21, 1928, Jimmie attended Secretarial College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jimmie worked as an Executive Secretary for various companies in Baton Rouge until her retirement in 1980. Jimmie enjoyed being active in the Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church as well as taking numerous trips throughout the United States with her husband, Stephen Robert Minks. Preceded in death by her husband Stephen Robert Minks, her parents James F. Aaron and Annie Mae Pearson Aaron and a brother James R. Aaron, she is survived by her son, Rodney Dean Minks, and her daughter-In-love, Cathy Mary Minks who both reside in Irving, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service was held for Jimmie 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at The Remington, 8707 Valley Ranch Pkwy West, Irving, TX 75063 (877) 931-3275. The family will receive friends 5:00 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA.
