Jewellene Barnett, age 82, a resident of Irving, Texas since 1965, died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at a local care center. Born January 27, 1929 in Pilot Point, Texas, she was the daughter of Jewel Leslie Beck and Viola Vines Beck. She married Walter L. Barnett in 1948. She was a retired church secretary for First United Methodist and Redeemer Episcopal churches in Irving. Preceded in death by a sister, Nelda Jean Beck in 2003, survivors include her husband Walter of Irving; a son, Leslie W. Barnett and wife Roma of Fort Worth; a daughter Rebecca Ann Beckie Penney and husband Perry of Henderson, Texas; two granddaughters, Gail Denise Greene and husband Christopher and Lori Beth Penney. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, 211 West Third Street in Irving. Graveside service 1:30 p.m., Tuesday at Pilot Point Cemetery in Pilot Point, Texas.
