Jerry Lane Sanchez, Sr., age 66 a life-long resident of Irving, died Saturday, January 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Born April 13, 1953 in Dallas, he was the son of the late Manuel M. Sanchez, Sr. and Josephine Martinez Sanchez. He worked for Halliburton in Carrollton for 37 years before his retirement. He was Catholic. He enjoyed riding his Harley, playing Foosball. He loved watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Rosemary Perez Sanchez 12/02/2004 and his son Jerry Lane Sanchez, Jr. 09/29/2019, he is survived by a son, Johnny Issac Sanchez (Stephanie Hernandez) of Irving; a daughter, Rebecca Denise Alvarez (Luis) of Irving; two sisters, Matilda Robles of Dallas and Josie Mendoza (Paul Banda) of Dallas; two brothers, Patrick Gonzales (Jean) of Irving and Richard Wayne Gonzales of Irving; daughter-in-law, Mirna Sanchez; eight grandchildren, Haley Sanchez, Nevaeh Alvarez, Jaden Sanchez, Jacob Alvarez, Ava Alvarez, David Anthony Barajas (Jessica), Joel Cruz Sanchez, and Sarah Angelica Renee Sanchez; a great granddaughter, Ella Mary Jane Barajas; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. A Rosary service will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Pete Naez officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 5605 Bernal in Dallas 75212, Rev. Luis Gerardo Arraiza, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane in Dallas 75220 SERVICES
