Obituary

Jerry Randall, 68 passed from this life July 21st, 2020. Jerry was born December 24th, 1951 in Austin, Texas to Thomas Polk Randall III and Geraldine Dollar Randall. He graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas in 1970. Jerry married Sandra J. Johnson (Hall) on September 4th, 1987 in Rockwall, Texas. To this new family, Jerry brought his young daughter Melain Christine Randall and Sandra brought her young son Bobby Wayne Johnson. This family was further blessed with the arrival of their son together, Jerry Dean "JD" Randall Jr.. Jerry and Sandra lived in Irving, Texas their entire 32-year marriage. During this time Jerry started his own business, specializing in planning large professional meetings and outdoor concerts with audio-visual solutions. This business eventually became a family run business starting with Sandra and then eventually JD; one of Jerrys proudest moments was turning over his family grown business to his son JD. During his life, Jerry also had a passion for becoming a firefighter; his first experience was as a volunteer firefighter at The Colony Fire Department. He continued this passion later in life by being an active member of the Irving Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association (ICFAAA). This was another adventure Sandra and Jerry did together; they loved supporting firefighters, but the greatest moments were being at fires when their son Bobby was on duty and being able to watch firsthand his fearless approach to helping others. This pride with his family also continued with daughter Melain. Seeing her graduate college and excel in the corporate world at thyssenkrupp Elevator brought him lots of joy and new hobby of identifying elevator manufactures and calling Melain whenever he was riding one of "her" elevators. Jerry was truly blessed with a full life that included spoiling his grandchildren, riding motorcycles, scuba diving, sailing, traveling the world, eating at Joes Coffee Shop, sitting on the porch talking to neighbors, unforgettable moments with friends, and endless love from his family. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Randall of Irving; daughter Melain Wielkens and her husband Les of Tampa; son, Bobby Johnson and his wife Lindsay of Fort Worth, and son JD Randall of Irving.
