JERRY E. COLLINS, age 70, a resident of Irving, Texas since 1972, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Born August 13, 1940 in Rockwall, Texas, he was the son of William Thomas Collins and Iva Jean Frazier Collins. He married Freddie Nelson April 28, 1972 in Rockwall. He retired from Motion Industries in Dallas after over thirty years of employment. Survivors include his wife Freddie of Irving; daughters, Roxann Feeler and husband Edward of Lewisville, Kimberly Derington and husband Joe, Sr. of Mineral Wells, and son Roger Hudack, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Irving; eight grandchildren, Rogjo, Dausha, Meloni, Joshua, Bobbie Jo, Joey, Misty, and Crystal; 7 great grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews, Margaret Jean Svoboda, Diana Heartwell, Dave Turnipseed and Don Turnipseed. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Dave Collins. The family will receive friends 7:00 9:00 p.m. Friday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
