Jeanne H. Head, 94, a resident of Irving since 1973, died Sunday, August 30, 2020 at a local care center. Born August 27, 1926 in Idalou, Lubbock County, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Ralph Harrison and Grace Ruby McInroe Harrison. She attended Pepperdine University in California where she met and married John Dudley Head in 1945 in San Diego, California. They lived in Abilene for many years where she worked at Abilene Christian University as an administrative assistant. She attended the Plymouth Park Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Chris Head and wife Annie of Flower Mound; two daughters, Pamela Bounds of Frisco and Cynthia Butler of Farmers Branch; seven grandchildren, Stewart Head , Lindsay Lawrence, Mishea Davis, Phillip Bounds, Jennifer Hinson, Leah Cole, and Denise Wright; nine great grandchildren; and a brother Wendell Harrison of Burnet, Texas. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic the family will be having a memorial service later. Burial will be at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.
