JEANETTE J. SKARBEK, age 93, a resident of Irving for more than 30 years, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at a Dallas hospital. Born January 25, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Adam John Skarbek and Stephanie Kulma Skarbek. She was a member of the Catholic church. A retired teacher, Jeanette was an educator at Wright College in Chicago from 1950 to 1982, and from 1982 to 1992 at Northlake College in Irving. Preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Adam Walter Skarbek, survivors include two nephews, Adam Skarbek and Richard Skarbek, both of Irving. A visitation will be held at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30. Burial will be at Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to a local SPCA or the American Cancer Society.
