Jean Ann Blackard, 77, a resident of Irving for 50 years, died Thursday, June 4, 2020 at her home. Born November 3, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Francis Eugene Herbert and Annie Wilhelm Herbert. She married Don C. Blackard October 24, 1964 in Baltimore. They lived in Paris, France two years before moving to Irving. She was a senior paralegal at Citi Group in Irving and retired in 2005. She was a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church in Irving. Preceded in death by her parents and her only brother Walter Herbert, she is survived by her husband Don C. Blackard of Irving; four daughters, Teresa Johnson and husband Spencer of Buda, Texas, Denise Russell and husband Tate of Plano, Anita Rauhauser and husband Jeremy of Flower Mound, and Stephanie Caldwell and husband Christopher of Irving; eight grandchildren, Katie Johnson, Coleman Johnson, Marcus Russell, Lindsey Russell, Robert Hardin, Annie Hardin, Madison Caldwell and Ethan Caldwell. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2020 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church, 2323 Cheyenne in Irving.
