JAY L. TAYLOR, age 90, a resident of Irving, Texas for 54 years, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in Irving. Born October 8, 1919 in Cushing, Oklahoma, he was the son of Ralph and Ina Brown Taylor. On December 21, 1945, he married Arlene Pederson in Los Angeles, California. Jay served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Jones-Blair Paint Company, and he was a member of Irving Bible Fellowship. Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, he is survived by his wife, Arlene of Irving; daughters, Karen Owens and husband Owen of Grapevine, Teresa Mulkey and husband David of Frisco and Debbie Brantley of Irving; grandsons, Jayson Owens and Ryan Owens, both of Grapevine; sister, Edna Wyborny and husband Ken of Houston; loving niece and nephews and special furry kids, Heidi and Tinkerbell. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Service 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Fortenberry officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
