Janice Elaine Davenport, 74, a resident of Irving since 2008, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at a local care center. Born June 8, 1947 in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late H. M. Davenport and Mary Elizabeth Bennett Davenport. She grew up and graduated from high school in Nashville. She began working for South Central Bell Telephone Company after high school and continued her career in the telephone industry, retiring from A T & T after over 35 years of service. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Irving. Survivors include a brother, Mel Davenport and wife Connie of Cottontown, Tennessee; and a niece Mattie Reed Davenport. A memorial service with inurnment in the church columbarium will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 2700 Warren Circle in Irving 75062. SERVICES
