Janice Griffith Biggerstaff passed peacefully on Sunday January 15, 2023 at the age of 73. Janice Ann Griffith was born on July 15, 1949 in Dallas, Tx. After graduating from Irving MacArthur High School in 1967, she studied at Texas A&M Commerce (East Texas State) for a few years. After returning to Irving, she accepted a position at National Chemsearch where she met her loving husband, Donnie Biggerstaff. They married on May 15, 1971 and celebrated 51 years together. They went on to have two children and lived in Irving for 44 years. After leaving Chemsearch, Jan worked at Carlton Cards for several years and then proceeded to have a long career with GTE/Verizon in the Yellow Page Credit and Collections division. After retiring in 2015, she and Donnie relocated to Oklahoma City to be closer to their grandchildren. She was an avid scrapbooker and loved watching baseball. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Owen Keith Griffith and Billie Jo Griffith, as well as her sister Linda Witter. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Biggerstaff; son Chris Biggerstaff and his wife Kristin of Edmond, OK; son Scott Biggerstaff and his wife Louisa of Wiley, TX; stepson Tim Brown of Dallas, TX; her sister Meg Zimmerman of Irving, TX; her grandchildren Sydney Biggerstaff, Spencer Biggerstaff, Gracie Biggerstaff and Lily Biggerstaff who she loved dearly! Jan will be greatly missed by many. Memorial service will be held 2:00pm on Saturday, February 4th at Donnelly Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Irving, Tx. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00pm.
