JAMES Jim McKAY SUGGS, JR., 64 died Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Born March 17, 1952 in Dunn, North Carolina, he is the son of the late James McKay Suggs, Sr. and Doris E. Register Suggs. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, and the O. W. Coburn School of Law at Oral Roberts University, Jim was a licensed attorney in Texas and North Carolina. He married Roxanne Brewer May 7, 1982 in Irving. He was a member of Fellowship Church in Grapevine, and former member of Calvary Church in Irving. Preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jeffrey Suggs, he is survived by his wife Roxanne Brewer Suggs of Irving; three daughters, Elizabeth Suggs and Jesikah Suggs of Los Angeles, California, and Kathryn Suggs of Dallas; a son, James McKay Suggs,III and his wife Elizabeth of Houston; his mother, Doris Suggs of Dunn, North Carolina; a brother Willie Suggs; several aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews, cousins, including Uncle D. B. Register, Aunt Gladys Hughes, and Sandra Finch; Roxannes parents, Dennis Brewer, Sr. and Sue; Roxannes siblings, Dennis Brewer, Jr. and Sueda, Susan and Jack Burkman, Brenda and Jamie Barth, Sr., Rachael and Mark McClelland, Sr. and Rebekah and Byron Mitchell, Sr.; and a host of loving relatives, extended family, and friends. The family received friends on Friday, September 23 at Fellowship Church, 2450 N. Hwy 121 in Grapevine. The funeral service was also held at Fellowship Church on Saturday. Burial followed at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
