The journey of this life is remarkable. " Jim", "Jimmy", "Uncle Jim" never wasted a minute of it. Jim was born in Columbus, OH and raised in Phoenix, AZ. He traveled the states in work and hobbies spending the last few decades in Irving, TX. Jim proudly followed his father and best friend, David "Dave" Shelton into the glass and aluminum industry with a rewarding career that he loved. Pull out a guitar; Jim made music. Pull out a grill; Jim made dinner. Put him near the water; Jim made memories. Sharon Salzberg teaches "Love is an ability". Jim had that ability. Jims gift was to stay present with every person he sat down with. He soaked in every opportunity to learn something about someone and he cherished every visit. Hes now sitting next to his Mom in heaven, Nancy, Im SURE having her cherished deviled eggs! Jims spirit stays with many special people still walking our journey on earth. Wife, NeeLey; dad, David Shelton; sister, Patricia Shelton Georges and partner Allen Luettgen and brother, Jeffrey Shelton; nieces & nephews: David, Andrew, John "JJ", Myra, Savannah, Riley, Gunner, Kaylen, Mack and Ginna; children by the grace of God: Tristen, Emilee, and Marisa; and a cherished circle of friends that he always considered extended family.
