JAMES KENNETH LOWE (Ken), devoted husband, father and friend was called home to be with his Savior on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the age of 85 years. He was born in Hillsboro, Texas to Edward James Lowe and Gracia Odell Lowe on July 10, 1937. After graduating from Hillsboro High School; he attended Baylor University in Waco and served in the Texas National Guard. He married Rosemary Birdwell also from Hillsboro on February 3, 1958 and they moved to Dallas, Texas and then to Irving, Texas in 1961 where they raised their two sons Kenny and Scott. He served as a past member of the Grapevine Rotary Club where he was a three-time Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of First Baptist Church Irving and served four Baptist churches in the Metroplex area as a Deacon. After working in various Hardware related businesses for 48 years; he retired in 2004 from Dallas-based Elliotts Hardware as their VP of Operations. But he never retired from his biggest passion - teaching Sunday School at various Baptist churches. For over 62 years; he taught almost all ages - Teenagers, Young Marrieds, Older Couples, and Mens Classes culminating with his beloved Adult Mens Class at First Baptist Church Irving which was nicknamed "Kens Guys" which he last taught on the Sunday prior to his passing. During his time on earth, Ken shared and taught the Gospel with incredible knowledge and passion and was considered by those who knew and loved him to be a true Bible scholar. Ken is now reunited in Heaven with Rosemary his beloved wife and best friend of 57 years who preceded him in death in 2015.
