JAMES JIM R. HUNT, age 79, a resident of Irving for 46 years, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at an Irving care center. Born November 30, 1931 in Mission, Texas, he was the son of Sedley M. Hunt and Ollie Mae Miller Hunt. On May 22, 1959 in Carrollton, Texas, he married Katie Loggins. Jim was employed at Lockheed Martin in Arlington as an engineer, retiring after 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith and an Azalea Society member. Survivors include his wife, Katie Hunt; daughters, Terra Fuller and husband Richard Woller, Dolly Whaley and husband Johnny and Eden Hunt; son, Lincoln Hunt; grandchildren, Caitlin Fuller and Angela Whaley; sisters, Mary Ann Ashley and Alice Morrison; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at a visitation to be held at 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday, October 8 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Interment service will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to any veterans association of the donors choice.
