James Royce Hall, 90, of Irving, Texas, entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, after a year-long struggle with dementia. He was born in Rising Star, Texas, and baptized as a teenager. He was the only son of Woody and Valery Hall and grew up in Rising Star, except for a few years in California. James married Vera Louise Mueller in December 1963 in Odessa, Texas. He was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and spent over 30 years of his career with Exxon-Mobile. James was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army for four years.

Preceded in death by his wife, Vera, James is survived by his three children: Lois Rostek and husband Rick, Tom Hall and wife Annamarie, and Vicki Phelps and husband David. Grandchildren are Brittany Lewis and husband Mark, Cassidy Hall, Rebecca Phelps, Bailey Hall, Valery Rostek, and David Phelps. He is also survived by several cousins, many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2505 W. Northgate Drive, Irving, TX 75062. For memorials, James would prefer contributions to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Irving.
