Obituary

James "Frankie" Elmore, born on November 8, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on June 7, 2026, in the city he called home throughout his life.

James lived a life marked by intelligence, thoughtfulness, and generosity, and those qualities were evident to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He carried himself with quiet strength and a steady presence, and he was the kind of man who could be counted on in both ordinary moments and times of need. His family and friends will remember him not only for what he did, but for the way he made others feel valued, supported, and understood.

He was the beloved son of Linda Thompson Ketner and Chester Jimmie Elmore. The love and guidance of his parents helped shape the man he became, and he carried those early lessons with him throughout his life. James also cherished his role as a husband, father, stepfather, brother-in-law, and grandfather, and he took great pride in the family connections that gave his life meaning and joy.

James is survived by his wife, Tracy Elmore, who shared in his life and stood beside him through many seasons. He leaves behind his daughters, Amanda Jordan and her husband, Matthew Jordan, and Ashley Marquis and her husband, Jeffrey Marquis. His brother Shannon Ketner; his stepson, Patrick Newton. He will be remembered with affection by his mother-in-law, Nellie Baesa, and his brothers-in-law, Rudy Bonilla and Andy Bonilla. James was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren.

James enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life rich and memorable. He loved motorcycles and the freedom they represented, and he found peace and enjoyment in fishing. He also had a playful spirit and was known for pulling pranks, often bringing laughter to those around him. His sense of humor and his ability to brighten a room will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Whether he was spending time with family, sharing a story, or enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, James had a way of making everyday moments feel special.

Those who knew James will remember a man who was thoughtful in his words, generous in his actions, and intelligent in the way he approached life. He was not one to seek attention, yet his presence was deeply felt. He offered help without hesitation, listened with care, and gave of himself in ways both large and small. His legacy is one of love, loyalty, and kindness, and it lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.

James Franklien Elmore will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. His life was a testament to the value of family, the importance of laughter, and the enduring strength of a generous heart. Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain a lasting comfort to those who knew and loved him.
