JAMES FERGUSON BUCK BUCHANAN, passed away at 1:46 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011 in Irving, Texas. Born March 13, 1926 in Point, Texas, he was in the Navy for 3 years. He worked for Vought/LTV for 43 years. He loved working in his yard and playing golf. He was baptized on March 3, 1991. He loved peanut brittle, sweets, and his black dress socks. He spent a good deal of time traveling when he retired. Preceded in death by his parents Olin and Lenora; and siblings, Patsy, Clara, Frank, Richard, and Doris Nell, he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mildred; 5 children and their mates, Deborah (Donnie), Roger (Zenda), Barbara (Stan), Judy (Ken), and Ronnie (Cindy); sister, Sue Lain; brother, Olin; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at 12:30 at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, American Diabetes Association, or American Cancer Society.
