Age 82, a resident of Irving for 32 years, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born December 15, 1929 in Dallas, he was the son of Karl T. Bellew and Ruby C. Shanks Bellew. James was raised in the Baptist faith, served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and was formerly employed as a driver for TXI Texas Industries. Survivors include his son, Jimmy Bellew and wife Rose of Venus; three grandchildren; niece, Regina McIninch and husband Ronnie; and friend, Dora Vargas. The family will receive friends at a prayer service 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside service is 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 25 at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
