Obituary

Jacqueline (Jackie) Westerfeld Hollabaugh passed away peacefully on July 22, 2019, just 9 days short of her 93rd birthday. She was born in Slaton, Texas on July 31,1926 to Lee and Aleph Westerfeld. After moving with her parents and two older brothers to Comanche, Texas and then Brownwood, Texas, Jackie ended up in Dallas where she attended and graduated from Sunset High School. She married George Hollabaugh in 1948, and they had one son, Stephen, in 1949. She always loved being a homemaker which allowed her the freedom to be the neighborhood chauffeur for Steve and his friends, driving them to sports activities and movies. Jackie was a longtime member of the Oak Cliff Christian Church in Dallas, and then the Irving North Christian Church in Irving after moving there in 1963. She was preceded in death by her parents and both brothers, Donald Westerfeld and John Westerfeld. Her husband, George, passed away in 2009. The couple was married almost 61 years. Jackie is survived by her son, Stephen Hollabaugh and wife, Melanie, of Irving; brother-in-law Sam Hollabaugh of Dallas; sister-in-law Betty Westerfeld of Fort Worth; and cousins Carolyn Miracle and Virginia Miracle Allen of Ovilla. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers and employees of Auberge Memory Care of Valley Ranch (formerly Silverado Valley Ranch) for the loving care they gave Jackie during the 16 months she resided there.
