Irene Torres Carranza, 90, of Bedford, died Saturday, September 5, 2020 at her home. Born August 8, 1930 in Forney, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Ines S. Torres and Apolonia Garcia Torres. She married Manuel G. Carranza in Dallas on September 11, 1954. She was a homemaker and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Irving. Preceded in death by a son Manuel L. Carranza July 28, 1987 and by her husband Manuel G. Carranza May 18, 2015, she is survived by her daughter Marrissa Kirk and husband Craig of Euless; grandchildren, Ashley Headley and husband Christopher, Matthew Kirk and wife Caitlyn, Katharine Taylor and husband Winston; great grandchildren Grayson and Presley Headley and Carter Olivia Kirk; a brother Henry Torres of Dallas; a sister Evelyn Martinez; three sisters-in-law, Alda Reyes of Bedford, Juanita Escobedo of Keller, and Sonia McMillon of Euless; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the North Mausoleum Chapel of Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery under the direction of Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. SERVICES Mass of Christian Burial
