Ione Thomas Wilson, 87, a resident of Irving since 1960, died Friday, October 16, 2020 at a Bedford hospital. Born June 12, 1933 in Richmond, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Omar Thomas and Marjorie Christie Thomas. She married Wesley D. Wilson June 7, 1953 in Richmond, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 2011. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dallas, where she was on the Session. She had volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Ronald McDonald House, and various other organizations. Survivors include a daughter Vickie Wilkinson and husband Matt of Irving; a son Ralph Wilson and wife Teresa Thomas of King George, Virginia; four grandchildren, Sophia Wilson, Drew Horn and wife Jeanette, Travis Horn and wife Emily, and Natalie Sundberg and husband Matt; and four great grandchildren, Wesley Horn, Ella Horn, Thomas Horn, and Kaia Sundberg. Another great grandchild is on the way. A family memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 8200 Devonshire Drive in Dallas, Texas 75225. Burial will be on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Earlham Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana. Memorials may be made to either the SPCA of Texas or Operation Kindness SERVICES
