Ima Jean Smith, 91, passed from this life on August 11th, 2013 surrounded by her family. A long time resident of Grand Prairie, Texas. She is survived by daughters, Karen Combs & husband Bob-Arlington, Tx, Vicki Howard-Arlington, Tx, & Priscilla Massey & husband John- Winnsboro, Tx, and son-in-law, Gary Schmidt. Preceded in death by Debbie Schmidt, daughter, and Sandra Howard, granddaughter. She was blessed with 10 wonderful grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Ima Jean was one of 13 children, seven surviving siblings, and five who preceded her. She was born in Ovilla, Texas, on May 17, 1922 to Albert and Myrtle Reeves. Ima Jean loved crafts, working in her yard, fishing, reading and studying history, cooking for her family and mostly just being with her family. She loved her family being around her especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will all miss her big, beautiful smile. Rest in Peace MawMaw, We love you. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 15 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday in the funeral home chapel, with Chaplain Mike Shreve officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving.
