Ignacio "Nacho" Cantu was born December 28, 1940, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas Mexico, the son of Ignacio and Hilardia Garza Cantu. Nacho passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in Irving, TX. Ignacio "Nacho" was preceded in death by his wife, Evarista Paz Cantu and his son, Conrad Paz Cantu. Left to cherish his memory is granddaughter, Eva Cantu; great grandchildren, Iris and Zack Cantu. Siblings, Idolina Cantu.Jose Cantu, Juan Cantu, Elio Cantu, and, Belia DeHoyas. Nacho was an amateur radio operator since the 1980's and a lifelong Cowboys fan. He visited South Padre Island and Las Vegas as often as he could. Nacho also loved to dance. Nacho was a loyal friend and had a heart of gold, he was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Viewing will be Friday, October 20th (4:00 PM 8:00 PM) and Saturday, October 21st. (11:00 AM 8:00 PM), Funeral services will be Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, TX.
