HUBERT (Junior) HARRELSON, age 83, a resident of Irving since 1966, died Monday, November 17, 2014 at his home. Born May 9, 1931 in Pickton, Texas, he was the son of Benjamin Franklin Harrelson and Maude Corina Martin Harrelson. He attended schools at Pickton and Como, Texas and married Joan Newman on May 20, 1950 in Dallas. Employed by North Lake College for twenty-three years and ICX Motor Freight for twenty-four years, he retired in May of 2014. A member of Oak View Baptist Church of Irving, Hubert is survived by his wife Joan of Irving; daughters Pamela Sue Harrelson of Irving and Laura Diane Strater and her husband Scott of Carrollton; three grandchildren Sean Strater and his wife Allison of Dallas, Zach Strater and Natalie Bradford; and a brother Paul Harrelson. The family will receive friends at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014. Service 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Oak View Baptist Church, 1004 South Story Road. Burial 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
