Heidi Lynn (Dodson) Combs, 67, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 2nd in Plano, Texas.

She was born in Bryan, Texas and raised in Irving, Texas where she grew into a woman known for her warmth, humor, and strong family roots.

Heidi will be remembered for who she was at her core—fun, always smiling, quirky, eccentric, and full of life. She shared the same witty sense of humor as her late son Eliot, something that brought comfort and laughter to those around her. She had a sweet soul and an unforgettable laugh that could light up any room. Heidi deeply loved her family and took immense pride in them. Her most cherished role in life came when her son Tyler made her a grandmother for the first time in 2009 with the birth of Zoey Dodson, and again in 2015 with Rylea Dodson. Being "Yaya" to Zoey and Rylea was her greatest joy. She was happiest when she was with them, loving them fiercely and completely.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Eliot Combs; her father, Lee Dodson; her mother, Lynda Dodson; her uncle, Richard Difenbaugh; her grandmother, Virginia Piper, and her brother in-law Henry Harrison.

She is survived by her son, Tyler Dodson, and daughter-in-law Danielle Dodson; her daughter, Casey Combs; her beloved granddaughters, Zoey Dodson and Rylea Dodson; her sisters, Leesa Morrison and Greta Harrison; her brother, Dirk Dodson and sister-in-law Vicki Dodson. Also survived by her nephews, Kale Dodson and wife Rhandi Dodson; Jason Harrison; Trent Dodson and wife Stacy Dodson; her favorite niece, Meri Harrison; her "second daughter," Britney Clay; along with many other loving friends and extended family members.

Her absence leaves a deep space in the hearts of all that knew her, but her love, laughter, and spirit will never be forgotten.
