HAZEL COLVIN, age 91, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Emeritus at Farmers Branch, Texas. Born March 6, 1921 in Mills County, Texas, she was the daughter of Ernest Eakin and Ola Shirley Eakin. Hazel was a resident of Irving since 1968 and a member of South MacArthur Church of Christ in Irving. Preceded in death by her husband, Claude C.C. Colvin, survivors include her sister, Pawnee Etheredge of Dallas; nephews, Gary Rothwell of Washington and Roy Etheredge of Australia; nieces, Dawna Newman of Irving, Marla Jenkins of Garland and Lorie Rogers of Carrollton. Service is 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 23 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m.
