HAROLD NICHOLSON, age 84, a resident of Irving since 1950, died Friday, June 12, 2015 at his home. Born January 3, 1931 in Carter, Oklahoma, he was the son of Irvin Martin Nicholson and Nellie V. Green Nicholson. He married Virginia Warren July 17, 1950 in Hollis, Oklahoma. He retired as director of transportation with Arkansas Best Freight (ABF) in 1996. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Irving where he attended the Kinkeade Bible Class. Preceded in death by his son Terry Lynn Nicholson in 2012, he is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Virginia; a daughter Tanya Wadsworth; five grandchildren, Jennifer Wadsworth, Melissa Dominguez, Rosanna Barrera, Daniel Nicholson, and Jeff Wadsworth; three great grandchildren, Gracie Dominguez, Sophie Dominguez and Bryden Barrera; and a brother Buck Nicholson of Clinton, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015 in the chapel of First Baptist Church, 403 South Main Street in Irving. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens under the direction of Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving.
