HAROLD M. GORDON, age 87, a resident of Irving since 1968, died April 22, 2013 in Arlington, Texas. Born May 15, 1925 in Saugus, Massachusetts to Francis B. Gordon and Hazel Monroe Gordon, he married Madeline Elizabeth Glaspy on December 18, 1948 in Sherman, Texas. Harold served in the U.S. Navy and later retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1968. He also retired as head of security at the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas. He was a member of VFW Post 4477, the Air Force Sgt. Association and the American Legion Post 0379. Preceded in death by his wife, Madeline, on September 7, 1989 and by his daughter, Susan L. Gordon on June 11, 1995, he is survived by his daughter, Julia Ray; granddaughter, Allison Elizabeth Lee and husband Mark, all of Arlington; great grandchildren, Johnna Elizabeth Lee and Justin Scott Lee; brother, Francis Gordon; and sister, Ruthie Jensen, both of Saugus, MA; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Gordon of Peabody, MA. and 22 nieces and nephews. A Vigil and Rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 25 at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church, 2323 Cheyenne in Irving. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
