Grace McBride was born in Norman, Arkansas on February 28, 1917 and was called home by her Heavenly Father on July 10, 2012. She married her loving husband, Wayne McBride, and together they had 5 living children. Grace was a woman of faith, strength, and above all love. Her greatest love on earth was serving and caring for her family which she did to perfection. Every one of her children knew they were her favorite and exactly whose lap to look for when they needed a hug or a kiss. When her oldest son found himself with 3 young children to raise alone he knew exactly where to go. He took himself and his young children home to his Mom & Dad where they were welcomed with open arms. Grace and Wayne went on to raise those 3 grandchildren along with their own 4 children. The three grandchildren became her children and each one grew up calling her Mom. Their house was always filled with love, laughter, noise and sibling squabbles. Grace lost her husband in 1979. After all of her children were raised she became the childcare giver for the Lookadoo family and cared for their two young girls until both were in grade school. The Lookadoo family remained a strong and loving presence in Graces life as they considered each other family until the day God called her home. Grace will be forever loved and cherished in the hearts of those blessed to call her Mom, family or friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne McBride; an infant son, Jackie; two adult sons, James and Gary. She is survived by loving son, Robert (Dell); daughter, Ann (Cecil); daughter, Janice (Bill); daughter, Gail (Herb); son, Gary (Melinda); son, Kevin; and special daughter-in-law, Judy; sister-in-law, Cora McBride; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 4 great- great-grandchildren.
