Gorden F. Ray, 97, a resident of Irving since 1972, died Saturday, April 30, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Born June 6, 1924 in Decatur, he was the son of the late Fred and Frances Devers Ray. He married Nola Ruth Burrows December 13, 1947 in Decatur, Texas. He worked in Real Estate and the Iron Industry. He was a member of the Irving Masonic Lodge. Preceded in death by his wife Nola in 2010, and by an infant son, Ricky Lee Ray, he is survived by a son Larry Ray and wife Linda of Coppell; a daughter Judy Ray of Irving; five grandchildren, Rex Ray, Max Ray, Alison Damboise and husband Eric, Terry Baughman and wife Heather, and Lindsey Dunnahoo and husband Stephen; six great grandchildren, Cooper, Autumn, Fiona, Ellie, Wyatt, and Jacob; and a sister Lois Bishop of Richland Hills, Texas. The family will receive friends 1:00 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, 606 West Airport Freeway 75062. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. 75061. SERVICES
