GLORIA FRANCES MOONEY, age 91, a resident of Carthage, previously of Fort Worth for 16 years, passed away on February 17, 2017 in Euless. Born June 15, 1925, in Ashdown, Arkansas to William Kersten and Zona Mae (Stephens) Kersten, she married the late George Ellis Mooney, Sr. Gloria was a restaurant manager and was a member of Northside Christian Church in Carthage, Texas. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband; son, George Ellis Mooney, Jr.; daughter, Beverly Annette Mooney; siblings: Mae Hollowman, Ruby Rainwater, Margaret Keys, Buddy Kersten, Augustine McFate, Mildred Shanks, Geneva Kersten, Sonny Kersten, Norman Chester Kersten; grandson Brian Anthony Gage; son-in-law, Dale Iven, and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Drummond Mooney. She is survived by her sons; William David Mooney of Tyler, Texas, Gary Mooney and wife Linda of Fort Worth, Texas, Danny Mooney and wife Tammy of Burleson, Texas; daughters, Gloria Mooney of Palo Pinto, Texas, and Pamela Iven of Euless, Texas; sister, Ruth McGaha of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Jerry Travis Kersten of Sulfur Springs, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Northside Christian Center, 108 E. Ash, Carthage, Texas 75633 with a memorial service to begin at 2:00 pm. Aaron Bequette will officiate. Burial will be at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76134. SERVICES
