GINNY WEIDENBERNER, age 88, a resident of Irving for 60 years, formerly of Danville, Illinois, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born July 31, 1925 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Henry Alton McClurg and Myrtis Bell Wilkinson McClurg. Ginny married John S. Weidenberner on February 12, 1945 in San Bernardino, California. A secretary, she retired from LTV in 1992, and was a member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Dallas. Preceded in death by her husband, John in 1988, and a brother, Henry Alton McClurg, Jr. in 1986, survivors include her sisters, Martha Huffmaster and husband Bob, Evelyn McCarley and husband Charles, all of Irving; brother, Roy McClurg and wife Nancy; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 16 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 17 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving with Wayne Watkins officiating.
