Gilberto "Beto" Vega Orta February 4, 1939 - February 15, 2024 Gilberto V. Orta, took his final breath on February 15, 2024, at the age of 85 at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, Texas surrounded by loved ones. He was born in San Benito, Texas to Pedro and Francisca Orta. He married Esther Gomez on December 8th, 1956 and worked for the City of Dallas until his early retirement. Beto truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as golfing with friends and family, watching all sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Angelita Orta (Jarrell Boxley), Linda Orta, Terry Martinez (Jesse Martinez), and Mary Andrews (Leslie Andrews), 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 7 sisters and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Francisca Orta; wife, Esther Gomez Orta, and children, Gilberto Orta Jr., Elizabeth Fajardo, Stella Javid and Domingo Orta. He will be truly missed by all whom he crossed paths with. We will carry your memory in our hearts until we met again. A memorial service will be held in his honor. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 3 PM.
