GIDEON MICHAEL SALAZAR, age 13, a lifelong resident of Grand Prairie and Dallas, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Medical City Dallas Hospital. Born January 17, 2002 in Irving. There are no words to truly describe Gideon, if you knew him you would understand. He always put others in front of him. Gideon enjoyed reading, and studying history. Although he liked all types of music, he had a special love for classical music. Survivors include his mother, Rachel and husband Jarred Furguson of Grand Prairie; father, Frankie Salazar of Grand Prairie; sister, Selah Smith of Grand Prairie; grandparents, Frank and Pat Salazar of Harlingen, and Ken and Barbara Smith of Granbury; step-sister, Lilly Furguson of North Richland Hills; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Service is 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015 in the funeral home chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to a cancer research for children of the donors choice.
