GERARDO GERRY MALDONADO, JR., age 46, of Belton, formerly of Irving, died Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Temple. Born May 10, 1968 in Miami, Florida, he is the son of Gerardo Maldonado, Sr. and Carmen Hernandez Maldonado. He served in the United States Army during the Persian Gulf War. He was a carpenter. Preceded in death by his brother, Richard Maldonado, he is survived by his parents of Belton; sons, Gerardo Cruz Maldonado, Marc Anthony Maldonado, Jesse James Maldonado, and Joshua Maldonado; a sister Amy Waun; four grandchildren, Anthony, Sammy, Jackson, and Reagan Maldonado; two nieces, Sophia and Hannah Waun; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Vigil and Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Saint Lukes Catholic Church, 204 South MacArthur Blvd. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, in Irving.
