Georgie E. Batot, 86, a resident of Irving since 1958, died Sunday, January 24, 2021 at The Villages on MacArthur in Irving. Born May 26, 1934 in Fort Worth, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Thomas Hickman and Rowena McMichael Hickman. She graduated from North Texas State College (now the University of North Texas) at Denton in 1957. She married Paul Joseph Batot June 14, 1957 in Fort Worth. They moved to Irving in 1958. An elementary school teacher, she taught at Barton Elementary School for twenty-six years. She was also the Pre-K teacher at Woodhaven Presbyterian Church and the pre-school / Mothers Day out program. Preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2008, a grandson, Adam Joseph, daughter-in-law, Nancy Batot, and brother Tom Hickman, she is survived by two sons, Mike Batot of Gordon and David Batot and wife Kim of Blue Springs, MO; two daughters Susie Trafton of College Station and Linda Pittet-Rebora of Irving; three grandchildren, Jennaleigh Hoelscher of College Station, Caroline Pittet, and Ashley Rebora both of Irving; a sister-in-law Carol Hickman of Alvarado, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 9:00 10:00 a.m. pm on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway. A committal service will be held at 11:15 am. Monday, February 8, 2021 at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery (Lane 2), 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, in Dallas 75211. Rev. Shane Webb and Rev. Julie Riley will officiate. SERVICES
