Gene E. Roush, 85, of Fort Worth, died Thursday, May 13, 2021 at his home. Born January 29, 1936 in Dallas County, Texas, he was the son of Eugene Edward Roush, Sr. and Dorothy Bailey Roush. He served in the 82nd Airborne in the U S Army. He married Billie Lyon Gillispie August 19, 1982. He was a retired owner/operator of auto repair shops and moved to Fort Worth in 2003. Preceded in death by a son Billy Roush; a brother, Billy Roush; a step-son Norris Gillispie; and his parents, he is survived by his wife Billie Roush of Fort Worth; a daughter Gena Roush of Oklahoma City, OK; two step-sons, Cody Gillispie and Joe Gillispie both of Decatur; thirteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. A committal service will be held 1:15 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas.
