GENE E. LOVE, 88, a resident of Irving since 1963, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at Baylor, Scott and White Medical Center in Irving. Born July 17, 1929 in Wetumka, OK, he is the son of the late Verle Joe Love and Alma Eason Love. He served in the US Army and retired as a mechanic. He was active in Kart and auto racing most of his life. He married Allie Kathleen Horton March 13, 1954 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She died April 15, 1999. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Doyle Pitts in 2011. Survivors include his children, Linda Walker and husband David of Trinidad, CO, Kathy Pitts of North Richland Hills, Michael Love and wife Glenda Williams of Southlake, and Olivia Rahn of Euless; two brothers, Billy Love of Barnsdalls, OK and Bobby Love of Muskogee, OK; a sister Audrey Hedgecock of Antlers, OK; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donors favorite charity. SERVICES
