Gayle Hatfield Williams, 87, a loving matriarch and dedicated Registered Nurse, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in Frisco, Texas. She was formerly a long-time resident of Irving, Texas. Gayle was born on April 20, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, Gayle was the cherished daughter of the late Lee Vernon and Paulene Watkins Hatfield.

A Life of Service and Compassion

Gayle devoted her life to helping others, both in her home and through her distinguished professional career. For many years, she was a respected Registered Nurse at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, where her expertise and compassion touched countless lives. She served with dedication in critical care units, including the Emergency Department, Coronary Care Unit (CCU), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She later continued her commitment to patient care as a Case Manager at Cigna Healthcare.

As a beloved wife, mother, and friend, Gayle's true passion was her family. She instilled a spirit of generosity and unwavering support in all who knew her.

Family

Gayle was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 38 years, Mark L. Williams.

She is survived by her loving children:

• Son: Mark L. Williams II and his wife, Teri Williams of Frisco, TX.

• Daughter: Allison Williams Jones of Frisco, TX.

Gayle was a proud grandmother to:

• Ashley Williams Reavey of Abilene, Texas

• Adrienne Jones Erdman and her husband, Christian Erdman of Atlanta, Georgia

• Amber Christine Williams of London, England, UK

She was also blessed with three cherished great-grandchildren: Ryan Reavey, Reed Erdman, and Graham Erdman, who brought immense joy to her later years.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gayle's life at the Colonial Funeral Home of Irving Chapel, 606 Airport Freeway, Irving, TX 75062.

• Visitation: Sunday, December 14th, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• Funeral Service: Sunday, December 14th, 1:00 PM. Rev. Dennis King will officiate.

• Graveside Burial: Following the service at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless, Texas.
