Gary GWW Whitehead, 47, a resident of Irving for 20 years, died Monday, May 6, 2013. Born September 9, 1965 in San Diego, California, he was the son of Billy James Whitehead and Glenna Sue Tucker Whitehead. He was a carpenter. Preceded in death by his father Bill Whitehead, he is survived by his wife Kaye, whom he married in October 1995; step-children Michelle Fisk and husband Cole of Grand Prairie, Brandi Abel and husband Bradley of Aubrey, Charles Clapp of Aubrey and Robert Clapp of Irving; five step-grandchildren, Dillon, Jackson, Abigail, Madelyn, and Hayle; his mother Sue Whitehead; a sister Jami Surles; and nephew Tyler Surles. A memorial service for Gary will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
